How Volunteers help at Muncie Central

Welcome to Muncie Central.  Here are several items that may be of interest to you : )   Please mark your calendars and additional information will follow as the dates approach.

https://bearcatathletics.wordpress.com is where all of your athletic information can be found.  Sports physicals will be done on July 29 as well as impact concussion baseline testing.  Click the link to their website for forms and additional information.

Registration for the new school year will be held in the cafeteria:  August 3rd-7th.  Monday, Wednesday and Friday times are 8 am-11 am and 12:30 pm-3:30 pm.  Tuesday and Thursday are 12:30 pm-6:30 pm with Orientation on Thursday at 7:00 pm in the auditorium.  We will need volunteers to help us with registration again this year.  **see note about parent/volunteers at the bottom of this mailing**  Please reply back to this email if you are willing to help with registration in any way.

Students will receive their iPads at registration and we will need volunteer help with this as well.

More information will be sent out as it is made available and you can continue to check the website for updated information as well.  The registration forms will be available on the website for you to print off in advance and packets will also be available at registration.  Remember that ALL students must have a parent or legal guardian present when they register.  Not exceptions.

August 12 is the first day of school for students.

August 28 is our first home football game vs Yorktown at 7 pm.

September 10- Homecoming parade.

September 11 is Homecoming vs Richmond at 7 pm.

September 16 is our Open House and the library will be open for our book fair.

October 12-16 is Fall Break!

The new Parent/Volunteer forms are now available.  You can pick one up from the main office or print one directly from the website here.  These forms are to be filled out by anyone who wants to volunteer for our school, help with coaching or chaperoning our kids. If you will be having interaction with students, you must have a volunteer form on file.  The completed form covers you at any MCS.  You only need to fill out one form and designate on the form as to which school or schools that you would like to volunteer.  Anyone and everyone who wants to volunteer with a sport, concession sales, fund raising, boosters, office help, decorate lockers, chaperon, help with first days of school, band events, sporting events- you get the idea- must have an approved form on file with the corporation.  If you filled out a form last year, it is current until Oct 1, 2015 and then a new form is required. All completed forms must be turned in to the main office of the school and not the Administration building. We understand that you have concern about the information that is required on the volunteer form.  Please know that your form is kept secure in a locked filing cabinet.  Any questions?  Contact me.
