Principal's Message

Welcome To Muncie Central High School!

PSAT / eLearning Day - Wednesday October 24, 2018

On Wednesday October 24th Muncie Central High School will have our annual PSAT / eLearning Day.  All 9th and 12th grade students will not report to MCHS that day and will complete their assignments on-line via Schoology.  All 10th and 11th grade students will report to school at their normal time to take the PSAT exam.  Once the PSAT exam is completed all 10th and 11th grade students will be dismissed for the day and will complete assignments on-line.  The PSAT exam will begin at 8:05am and should end at approximately 11:45am on Wednesday October 24th.

All 11th grade MACC students will report to MCHS in the morning to take the PSAT exam.  Once the exam is finished these students will be dismissed for the day.

All 12th grade MACC students will still be required to attend the MACC during their respective AM or PM session, but will not attend at MCHS.

MITS and Auxilio are aware of the early dismissal for Wednesday October 24th so students will have their normal transportation home.

Chartwells will have grab and go lunches available for students during dismissal.

Please contact the main office if you have any questions.

Thanks and GO BEARCATS!

Thank you for visiting the Muncie Central High School website and your interest in our students and staff.  Our goal at Muncie Central is to make a positive difference in the lives of each of our students.  We are able to accomplish this by setting high academic expectations; providing resources and support to our students, staff, and families; and promoting student involvement in activities both inside and outside the classroom.

Muncie Central has a very proud tradition of academic and extra-curricular success, and our students and staff are committed to carrying on this great tradition.  The Class of 2018 surpassed $4.5 million in scholarships this past spring.  Through our partnership with the University of Notre Dame and the AP-TIP IN (Advanced Placement - Teacher Investment Program of Indiana) students scoring a 3 or higher on an AP exam will receive a $100 incentive for each exam they pass.  During the Spring of 2018 MCHS was awarded a full endorsement from the Center for Excellence in Leadership of Learning (CELL) for our Early College Program.  These accomplishments were in large part due to the efforts of our amazing teachers, staff, families, and most importantly our students.  2017-18 was a great year and we are looking to greater things this year!

If at any time you need to contact the school, please do so by emailing us at or calling the main office at 765-747-5260.  Thanks again for your interest in Muncie Central High School.
